Solutions are almost always simple. However, they're rarely obvious or easy.

Dr. Debi

Hi, I'm Dr. Debi

Founder of A Wise Woman's Guide

This is My Story

I was born a blue-eyed blonde. The apple of her daddy's eye. But one summer day, just before I turned 3, my mother packed up and left town with my older brother and me. While my dad was at work. He didn't see it coming.

I didn't see my dad again for 37 years.

I married the first time when I was 18. My husband was also 18 and had just finished his freshman year of college. I worked full time while he finished his degree. Then 6 weeks after he graduated, the first of our three sons was born. After 15 years of marriage, I was getting ready to start college myself, when my whole world fell apart.

He left on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't see it coming. And I was a hot mess.

Four and a half years after becoming a single mom, I finally started college. I earned my bachelor's degree, then my master's and my doctorate. All back-to-back. Then I started my Clinical Practice, specializing in the Psychology of Men and Marriage.

I had learned and grown a lot by that time, and I knew what it was like to be in a lonely relationship. So I easily understood what my clients were going through. In case you're wondering, I did learn to trust men again. And I fell in love again.

A couple of decades later, I closed my Clinical Practice and moved in the middle of Nowhere ... on a country road in Texas.

Now I’ve turned my personal transformation, as well as my work as a psychologist and university professor, into an easy-to-follow system for the Wise Woman who wants to unlock her potential and start enjoying her life and love like never before.

In case you're interested ...

I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at MidAmerica Nazarene University, and my Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degrees at Rosemead School of Psychology-Biola University. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching Psychology at MidAmerica Nazarene, Biola, and Azusa Pacific universities between 2002 and 2010.
